Plot Summary: Nicholas Van Orton (Douglas) is a wealthy San Francisco banker. For his 48th birthday, his brother (Penn) gives Nicholas a card that entitles him to receive unusual entertainment provided by something called Consumer Recreation Services (CRS). As soon as Nicholas becomes involved with this company, strange things start happening. Everyone refers to it as a game, but the game seems very real. Nicholas wants to quit, but that is impossible, so he is stuck being part of the game.

Michael Douglas Some of Douglas' best films are Romancing the Stone, A Perfect Murder, and Basic Instinct. My favourite Michael Douglas movie of all time, however is The American President. If you haven't seen it yet, you definitely should. It's great. |
Why you'll love him: Well, I have to admit, that Nicholas Van Orton is not the most appealing of characters. But come on, it's Michael Douglas! Of course you'll love him!
