Plot Summary: Maggie (Roberts) has a terrible habit of leaving men at the alter. One of her ex-fiancés tells an embellished story about her to a reporter named Ike Graham (Gere) . Based on this story, Ike writes an article about Maggie, referring to her as the runaway bride. When Maggie sends a letter of complaint about the article stating that the facts in the article are incorrect, Ike is fired. In an effort to prove that his story is correct, Ike goes to the small town in which she lives. Along the way, Maggie and Ike fall in love. The only problem is that neither person is sure that they can trust in the love of the other.

Pretty Woman - the movie that started the on-screen bond between Roberts and Gere. Their chemistry is once again, obvious..

Why you'll love him: In The Runaway Bride, Gere's character is a lot funnier and laid back than many of his other characters. How can you resist a grown man who is willing to walk around with multi-colored hair?
